Workshops
Our workshops are a space for writers of all stages to bring along an idea or work in-progress.
Every week we will usually start with time for a chat, do a writing exercise or two eg. writing to a prompt. Our workshops are an opportunity to discuss ideas and writing with like-minded people.
Come and join our weekly writing group, the Creative Writing Society. Chat with fellow writers, discuss your writing projects and problems, have a cuppa and get writing!

WRITING STORIES:
A 3-Part Creative Writing Series for writers of all levels
Join Writing Days for a 3-part workshop series of creative writing where you can try a range of of exercises and activities across different genres.
18th April – ‘Moments in Memoir’
This workshop looks at creative non-fiction – facts, truth, evidence, research, ethics, reflection and craft.
23rd May – 'Poetry: Memory, Place and Short Forms'
This workshop explores free verse and short poetic forms such as haiku, and poetic elements like imagery, tone and mood, language, rhythm and rhyme, and line breaks.
20th June – 'Looking at Short Fiction'
This workshop explores the basic elements of a short story, from crafting characters, to building the beginning, middle and end.
If you’ve always wanted to write, or want to start a creative practice, then this workshop is for you!

An Introduction to Creative Writing Workshop
Join us for an introductory creative writing workshop for writers of all levels.
In this workshop you'll be introduced to some writing exercises, get to try out some different activities and gain some technical expertise on how to turn your ideas and words into engaging pieces!
